Great Things Grow Gardens.
(Part I)
Garden of the Gods
Since moving to Colorado, I've noticed Garden of the Gods is one of the most talked about places; and after finally getting there, I can see why. It is a beautiful place...fabulous for trail running and hiking, dog friendly, and a visitors center TripAdvisor reviewers state is "worth the trip alone." I won't comment on that, but hey - that may be your thing. The garden got it's name in 1859 when surveyors described the area as perfect place for a beer garden and a perfect place for Gods to assembly. And so: beer garden + Gods = Garden of the Gods.
Anyway, my pictures were a bit of a disappointment. I spent more time running than taking pictures - which is sometimes better for the soul anyway. It was a quick trip, so I'm looking forward to going back when I have time to explore. Nonetheless, I was thankful to finally experience a snippet of the Garden.
